On Sunday 18 September 2022, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, the Freedom Museum will be hosting a renewed Freedom Market – inside and outside the museum!
Entry fee adults € 7.50 (incl. museum and festival). Children 0-6 years free admission, children 7-17 years € 3.00 p.p. Other discounts / promotions are not valid, discount on discount is not possible.
Festive programme with, amongst others::
- Live musical performances by Bill Baker’s Big Band, The Barclay Brothers and Batavorum Pipes and Drums Nijmegen;
- Children’s flea market;
- Demonstration of war time transmitting and receiving equipment. Great show-pieces of communication devices of the '40's.
- Sale of 2nd hand books WW2, food and drink stalls and lots of activities for children.
- The Freedom Museum in cooperation with Grateful Generation tours will organize exciting fieldtrips along the battlefields of Operation Market Garden in an authentic Willys MB from WW2 (2 to 3 persons). The tours will take about 30 minutes and are suitable for young and old alike but are an absolute must for youths. € 8.50 per person, cash only (admission fee Festival not included). Tours every half hour from 10am-5pm. Reservations can be made on site during the day.
