‘The Mystery’

An interactive experience for the entire family

In the Infocentre WW2 Nijmegen, a special interactive experience has been realised: The Mystery. In this experience visitors (aged 9 and up) search for all kinds of (hidden) clues and hints and, at the same time, learn about what happened during the Second World War in and around Nijmegen. The Mystery can be experienced in the Infocentre WW2 from 23 July, 2021.

The Mystery revolves around the true story of the Van Noordenburg family. The family members lost sight of each other during the battle for Nijmegen in September 1944. It is the task of the visitors to help son Jan van Noordenburg, with the help of various hints, assignments and clues, to find his mother, brothers and sisters. The educational space in the Infocentre has been redecorated in the style of a living room from the 1940s to make the historical experience even stronger.

Through The Mystery, the Infocentre WW2 Nijmegen wishes to connect to the existing programmes for children and school groups even more. The Mystery was developed by the Infocentre WW2’s in-house staff in cooperation with Flink, the company that also designed and furnished the Infocentre WW2.

The Infocentre WW2 Nijmegen is accessible free of charge. Reservations are not necessary, but please keep in mind that only a limited number of people can be inside the Infocentre WW2 Nijmegen simultaneously.
